The third expensive wristwatch valued at $5.6 million originated from the famous Patek Philippe & Co, a Swiss manufacturer. It is called the Sky Moon Tourbillon. This unconventional watch has a double face. The front side has a calendar where the date is viewed by a moving hand. The backside has a sky chart showing the moon's phase and orbit. There are actually 686 parts in this watch which was created in 1943.

Of the 15 most expensive wristwatches, 5 were created by Patek Philippe & Co in Geneva, Switzerland. Antoni Patek began watch making in 1839. He partnered with Adrian Philippe in 1845. Philippe had invented the keyless winding mechanism. Their first wristwatch was made in 1868. The pair was credited with inventing perpetual calendars, split second hand, chronograph and minute repeater for timepieces. Their watches have been worn by aristocratic people around the world. They included Queen Victoria of England in the mid 1800, Pope Pius IX, Pope Leo XIII and Princess Louise of Denmark. This company continues to manufacture watches today with 40,000 being produced in 2010.
