The Magnet Generator And The Major Difference Between Permanent Magnets And Electromagnets

We are reading a lot on the internet about magnet generators and their capacity to create free energy.

The idea that we are able to generate our own electricity simply by building a machine using affordable magnets is completely amazing.

If it is possible to generate electricity without relying on any external fuel source other than magnets then it will not be long before commercial magnetic energy generators are being manufactured.

I have seen them called electromagnetic generators, permanent magnetic generators, perpetual magnetic generators and magnetic power generators. Being an ordinary non-scientifically minded individual I find it all somewhat perplexing.

So is there a difference between an electromagnet and a permanent magnet?

Permanent magnets can be made out of many different naturally occurring substances of which magnetite is the most powerful. They can also be made out of synthetic substances for example neodymium. A neodymium magnet is the most powerful form of permanent magnet and is sometimes described as a super magnet.

Electromagnets are significantly stronger than even the most powerful permanent magnet.

The electromagnet was invented in 1825 by William Sturgeon, a British electrician. He demonstrated that a seven ounce piece of iron which was wrapped around with wires and had a small electric current going through it could lift nine pounds of metal. William Sturgeon started out as an apprentice to a shoemaker but after teaching himself in mathematics and physics became a lecturer in science at the East India Company College in Addiscombe Surrey, England.

An electromagnet will become magnetic only if an electrical current flows through it and a generator that uses electromagnets or "field coils" requires a flow of electricity through the electromagnets for the device to work. If there is no flow of electricity through the wires then it does not work.

The magnetic generator however uses the spinning magnets to generate electrical energy in the first place. It produces more energy than is required to keep the magnets rotating and so you can use the excess to power your home.

The magnetic energy generator concept is based on the continuous motion produced by magnetic power and charges. Continuous motion is when a device or mechanism continually moves without stopping and without any outside assistance. Magnets are able to cause this never ending motion because of the natural charge that they hold.

The plans that we see on the internet describing precisely how to build your own magnet generator use permanent magnets not electromagnets.
